Positive psychology is a relatively new branch in psychology that is defined as a “scientific study of virtue, meaning, resilience and wellbeing, as well as the evidence-based applications to improve the life of individuals and society in the totality of life” (Wong, 2011).

The emphasis of Positive Psychology on strengths rather than weaknesses offers more opportunities for inclusion and positive perspective of understanding differences. In this way it celebrates Neurodiversity and promotes equality and diversity.

Positive relationships

Relationships do not only function as those that provide support in navigating an individual through a difficulty but also the very environment that encourages one to develop authenticity and characteristics necessary for wellbeing.

In that, positive relationships are those with the tendency towards the behaviours that are motivated to achieve a need-satisfying outcome, generate positive emotions, trust, intimacy and self-expansion.

NeurodiversityExplained is all about relationship. The relationship that nourishes authenticity and develops awareness of individual strengths. The relationship that is built on respect, empathy, knowledge and wisdom.

Why Mindfulness?

Mindfulness as the awareness that arises through paying attention in a particular way. It involves the skill of regulating individual attention and specific orientation towards one’s own unique authentic experience.
